Anele Mdoda turned a routine Wednesday morning into pure comedy gold when she rocked up to the *Anele & The Club* breakfast show on 947 with a story Mzansi absolutely did not see coming.

The radio host described driving the previous night when she hit a JMPD roadblock. Officers had set up a stop-and-search operation across two lanes, with diligent drivers patiently waiting their turn. That is, until two cars and three scooters decided to try their luck on the far right, hoping to slip past undetected.

The JMPD officers abandoned the compliant queue to intercept the rule-benders. Two cars and two scooters surrendered without much fuss. The third scooter, however, had other plans entirely. Anele described the rider throttling away in a bid to escape, with a cop jogging alongside the slow-moving bike in a scene she painted as more slapstick than thrilling.

"It's not a Ducati. It's like... it throttles all the way over. The cop's just jogging next to him," she told her co-hosts, barely containing herself.

Her frustration kicked in when the officer had to abandon the chase and sprint back to his car. Sensing an opportunity, Anele said she took matters into her own hands.

"I helped the cops make a citizen's arrest," she announced proudly, pulling back her chair for dramatic effect.

Her co-hosts were equal parts baffled and entertained. When pushed on whether the officers acknowledged her heroics, Anele admitted she did not exactly hang around for a medal.

"I had to go. I mean, I was in a hurry," she said.

One co-host was quick to point out the irony:

"After involving yourself in a whole chase?"
