Minnie Dlamini has broken her silence on the state of her split from Quinton Jones, and the update may surprise fans who assumed the matter was long settled.

Speaking to Thando Thabethe on her 947 Drive with Thando show, the media personality confirmed that her divorce from her ex is still dragging on, more than four years after the couple announced their separation in 2022.

Minnie Dlamini sets the record straight

The conversation was sparked by circulating speculation that Minnie, whose full name is Minenhle Dlamini, has been financing her ex-husband through spousal maintenance payments since their split. She shut those claims down firmly.

"That's not the case; I'm not maintaining anyone. I'm still unfortunately going through my divorce, but it is a process, and I'm hoping it's going to be done quite soon," she told Thando.

The couple share a son, and their marriage, which began with much fanfare, lasted just four years before unravelling publicly.

R1.5 Million wedding bill and a MacG lawsuit

Minnie's candour did not stop there. She also pulled back the curtain on the financial toll their wedding took on her personally. Beyond what sponsors covered, she admitted to spending roughly R1.5 million of her own money on the big day. When Thando pushed her to clarify whether that cost was split between her and Quinton, Minnie grew visibly coy before confirming that she footed the bill on her own.

She also weighed in on her ongoing multi-million-rand lawsuit against Podcast and Chill co-hosts MacG and Sol Phenduka. The legal dispute stems from remarks MacG made about her failed romance with Dr Brian Monaisa, in which he suggested that a hygiene issue on Minnie's part may have contributed to the relationship ending. Minnie is challenging those comments in court.
