South African film and television star Thuso Mbedu has the international film industry in a chokehold after landing another stellar role on Task.

Since the premiere of the new crime drama on 8 September 2025, the actress's name has been on everybody's lips, with praise for her work and her rise to stardom.

In her latest appearance, Mbedu stars alongside The Avengers actor Mark Ruffalo, taking on the role of federal agent TFO Clinton.

On 23 September 2025, she shared a clip from the third episode, which captures her scene at an apparent construction site, where Thuso and her partner had gone to investigate the case of a missing child.

The show adds a distinct South African feel with an instrumental from the late rapper P.R.O.'s Uthini Ngo PRO featured in the soundtrack. It was recently made popular again following rapper K.Keed's controversial interview with DJ Speedsta.

Task forms part of Thuso's impressive repertoire of acting appearances in her years-long career.
