Just before Joe Biden announced his much-anticipated 2024 re-election bid Tuesday, his Republican opponents took aim at the US president in an unexpected way – they rolled out a website to "fact check" him. During a presidential debate in 2016, in which Hillary Clinton was pitted against Trump, the Democrat's personal website ran a live "fact-check" of her opponent.

A Japanese startup attempting the first private landing on the Moon said Wednesday it had lost communication with its spacecraft and assumed the lunar mission had failed. India also attempted to land a spacecraft on the moon in 2016, but it crashed.

Ed Sheeran arrived at US federal court Tuesday for a trial over whether the British pop star plagiarized American music icon Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On" in his own 2014 hit "Thinking Out Loud." The plaintiffs are the heirs of Ed Townsend, a musician and producer who co-wrote Gaye's 1973 soul classic, who were also in court Tuesday.
