Amid the rise in the price of cement, a man has shared an alternative method of creating bricks without using cement.

In a TikTok video, he videoed a labourer as he made bricks using the localised method he talked about.

The man mixed sand with water as he moulded the bricks without any cement.

@ojmoney55, who spoke in the background, said cement is expensive and people need to be thinking of alternatives.

Meanwhile, Briefly News reported that parents came home to find their children covered in building material.

The parents posted a TikTok video of their children covered in dry cement, which was meant to be used for a construction project. According to an expert that posted on Quora, children are said to get bored with shiny objects and revealed that the idea of playing with toys appears to be a fairly recent development.

South Africans laughed at the video and compared the children to fictional characters from the famous South African historical drama, Shaka iLembe.
