Taxi driver’s hilarious KFC pit stop in Cape Town

The clip of the funny moment, which took place in Cape Town, has been making the rounds on social media, shows the taxi parked along the side of a busy road. The driver can be seen in the distance, clutching a KFC takeaway, before running back across the road towards his vehicle.

His passengers, still seated inside, appear to be waiting patiently for a sight that amused many South Africans.

Social media users could not resist sharing their reactions. Many joked about the driver’s priorities, while others admitted they understood the pull of a fried chicken craving.

"At least he was running hle, he has a sense of urgency, one person joked in the comments.

Some commenters pointed out the unusual nature of the situation, saying it was rare to see a taxi driver stop mid-route for personal errands. Others, however, found the incident lighthearted, calling it a “purely South African” moment that highlights the country’s unique sense of humour.
