The educator spotted one of her students using AI during her lecture. She walked up to her and they had a back-and-forth about the matter.

The rest of the class was silent and waited patiently for the argument to be settled. One student pulled out their phone and filmed the altercation between the two:

“Prof has a big ego. PhD did not teach her logic.”

Professor confronts student using AI in class and goes viral

An American professor busted one of her students using an AI called Save My GPA during her lecture. She walked up to her and attempted to close her laptop.

The student refused to close her laptop and kept it open. She explained that she was not playing around.

The platform recorded the professor’s lecture and highlighted important information for the student to research later:

“It turns your papers into flash cards and quizzes. How is that bad?”

The professor insisted that the student leave her classroom, but she refused to get up out of her seat. The educator emphasised that she should be the only one the student got her information from:

“You need a human resource, and luckily, I am one of those, but have you come to me to ask me questions? I got a PhD in this subject.”

The student closed the argument that she did not need to ask the professor any questions, as the AI tool did everything for her. The altercation seemed like a rehearsed script to advertise the AI tool the two were fighting over, judging by their dialogue and the lack of intrigue from the rest of the class.

Some social media users also picked it up, while the rest argued over who was right or wrong during the altercation. The video was viewed 9.2 million times after it was posted in early August.
