The clip, shared on TikTok by @chwayitaxwayi, was met with a mix of awe and debate, as viewers shared what R98,000 means for them.

The video opens with the woman, a network marketer affectionately known as Babes Wamachankura, sitting in the Louis Vuitton store. A friendly salesperson hands her a paper bag in the brand's iconic bright orange colour, containing her brand-new handbag. He informs her that her pair of shoes, which were part of the same purchase, will be available in Johannesburg.

The cost of a Louis Vuitton handbag

The Gqeberha-based woman, who often praises her Forever Living business for providing her with the funds to live a comfortable life, agrees to fetch the sneakers in Joburg. The handbag alone cost R65,000, and the total purchase for both the bag and shoes was R98,000.

The woman, in a moment of playful surprise, exclaims about the high price of the handbag. The salesperson replies that the cost reflects her good taste and informs her that the receipt would be WhatsApp'd to her before she and her friend thank him for his friendly service.

The clip garnered a massive number of views, likes, and comments from social media users who responded with diverse reactions. Many acknowledged how hard the woman works and said she should enjoy her money as she sees fit. Some praised her for living her life to the fullest, saying that with her kind of money, they would do the same.
