A video captured a Springbok fan trolling the opposition with sangoma tactics during the game against France. The man had people online in stitches and proud to be South African.

On 15 November, 2025, the content-creating sports Instagram account Diski General uploaded a clip of a man, partially dressed in sangoma attire and Springbok fan gear. The game took place on 8 November, 2025, at Stade de France in Paris. He waved his hands over the French fans seated in front of him and chanted, with the person behind the camera encouraging him.

As the man stood up in excitement, he focused on the pitch, shouting for the Bokke as they scored.

In the end, the Springboks defeated the French rugby team 32-17.

Springbok fans' sangoma tactics amuse South Africans

Many social media users gathered in the comment section, laughing at what they saw on their screens and showing their South African pride. One person had even joked that the man reminded them of Mr Bones, a fictional character portrayed by legendary comedian Leon Schuster.
