A funeral procession filmed on a rural dirt road in South Africa went viral on TikTok. The hearse carrying the casket drew widespread attention. Behind it stretched a long line of white sedans, all moving slowly under a clear blue sky.

Some found certain moments in the footage impossible to take seriously. Others questioned whether funerals were losing their solemnity altogether.

The video, posted on 11 August 2026 by @geshwana46, showed a speciality vehicle fitted with a distinctive butterfly-style glass canopy encasing a wooden casket. Signage on the vehicle advertised Dichaba Groups, a funeral and burial society promoting full funeral services alongside a cash payout.
