A man's attempt to outsmart a rowdy group of kids during Spring Day did not go according to plan. The video, posted by TikToker @kagisosibusiso on 2 September 2026, showed a packed street celebration in what appeared to be a South African township, with a large crowd running and cheering around a car and a man making his way through the street.

The clip quickly caught fire online for the best reason. Malume, as the older man became known in the comments, tried to work his way through the Spring water fun. His strategy, whether dancing or simply playing along, was meant to help him pass through unscathed. It did not work.

According to viewers, it was not even the kids who got him first. One commenter pointed out that it was an older man in a red T-shirt who delivered the first soaking. The crowd followed. Malume never saw it coming.
