A local woman turned heads at a Shoprite trolley dash after ditching the grocery aisles completely in favour of appliances and outdoor equipment. The video, shared on X by @AyandaYandiey on 3 September 2026, showed the woman sprinting purposefully through the store the moment the countdown started. She loaded her trolley with irons, kettles, a boxed air fryer and a large braai set, finishing her run by scooping up camping chairs in the final seconds.

A strategy that paid off

While the crowd around her seemed to expect her to head for food, she stayed entirely focused on her plan. Her composure under time pressure stood out. She did not hesitate or double back. Every item she grabbed was deliberate.
