Advocacy group @justadvocacy1 confirmed the news on TikTok on 24 September 2026, announcing that Shameeque Daries had been located and returned home. According to the post, it is believed she spent the night at a friend's house.

The group credited verified community sources from Kraaifontein for confirming the update and expressed gratitude to Kraaifontein SAPS and Titanium Security for their support during the search. Ordinary residents who shared posts and walked the streets of Wallacedene looking for Shameeque were also recognised. The group wrote in its update:
