Two young South African property flippers completed a gruelling 60-day house renovation challenge, sharing the results with their TikTok followers on 26 September 2026. The pair, known on the platform as @nongswealth, set out to transform what they called an "ugly" rundown home into a modern, AI-inspired property from scratch.
The finished home was a striking departure from its original state. Walls were painted in warm brownish-beige tones, large porcelain tiles covered the floors in the main living areas, and built-in furniture was featured throughout. Modern lighting fixtures dressed up the ceilings, while all the bedrooms were fitted with wooden flooring. The master bedroom stood out with a spacious walk-in ensuite complete with a modern shower, sink and toilet. The house was essentially move-in ready, save for personal furniture and décor.

A family emergency breaks the deadline
Despite the strong result, the duo were candid about falling short of the 60-day finish line. A family matter required them to travel to the North West province, pushing the project slightly past the deadline. Some rooms were left with minor unfinished touches as a result.
In the walkthrough video, one of the men highlighted the sliding windows as his personal favourite detail from the entire project, joking that followers had initially mocked them as "Temu windows" when they were first installed.
