Footage of a massive under-construction home belonging to Joachim "G6" Chivayo, the reported brother of the late Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo, has been doing the rounds online and turning heads.

The residence, still very much a work in progress, shows exposed brickwork and visible roof structures across what is clearly an enormous footprint. According to TUKO, the property is being built as an eight-bedroom luxury home, complete with a private office, an indoor gym and a sauna. Even in its unfinished state, the sheer scale of the construction has sparked significant conversation.

G6 steps into the spotlight

The footage surfaced weeks after the death of Wicknell Chivayo, who died in a helicopter crash alongside his wife Lucy, and left behind a significant void in Zimbabwe's business and social circles. Wicknell had been one of the country's most talked-about figures, widely recognised for his political connections and extravagant way of life.

Since his passing, G6 has seen his public profile rise considerably, with interest in the Chivayo family's affairs intensifying. He has reportedly been seen alongside Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa and other individuals previously associated with Wicknell's political network, fuelling speculation about his growing footprint in both business and political circles.

Questions about his role remain

Whether G6 is stepping in purely to manage the family's existing interests or is actively positioning himself as a successor to his late brother's empire is still very much an open question. The precise nature and extent of his involvement in the family's business dealings has not been made clear publicly.
