Waitress Heartbroken as Man Disappears Without Paying R1 200 Bill

A Kenyan waitress has been left in tears after a man who ordered drinks worth R1 200 at her workplace ran away without paying.
The incident cost her not only the money but also her job and her livelihood.
The waitress shared her ordeal in a viral video on social media.
How did man escape with bar bill?
In the video shared by BNN, she is seen crying and pleading with the man, whom she named Mwash, to come back and settle the bill.

She said Mwash had come to the bar where she worked and ordered drinks.
However, Mwash sneaked out of the bar without paying. She said the amount was equivalent to her daughter’s school fees for a whole term and her boss fired her.
"If your name is Mwash; you came to my workplace, I served you, and you escaped with a KSh 10,000 bill, and I am now crying. You have made me lose my job. The KSh 10,000 bill is enough to pay my child's whole term's school fees.
"I am now stranded because you escaped without settling the bill. I swear before God, you will pay it. You will have to pay it," she lamented.

Man charged with failing to clear R700 bill
Separately, a Nairobi man was presented before the Kibera Law Courts where he faced charges related to obtaining credit by false pretence.
Identified as Evans Owino, the man failed to offset a bill at a city joint totalling R796 with which he had entertained a random woman he had met at the pub.
Owino attracted the woman on his table where he was partaking in a bottle of beer and Krest soda.
After she joined him, the man started making impulsive orders despite knowing that he was not in a position to clear the bill.
