It has been nine years since Caren Chepkoech from Singoiwek village, Kongasis ward, Chepalungu sub-county, sat in a class.
Why did Caren Chepkoech stay home for long?
Mwalimu Daniel Mutai said that she sat for her KCSE in 2015 and attained a grade of B-, but she was not lucky enough to proceed to college.
"I have since then applied to several institutions like Kenya Medical Training College for nursing, which was my dream course, and was accepted. I also applied to others and was also accepted. Although I have been receiving positive responses (invitation letters) but I have not been able to join any of them due to a lack of funds," said Chepkoech

"I had a long period of illness after I completed my Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), which drained the financial status of our family, but I thank God for healing me. I am now healthy and ready to continue with my education in order to fulfill my desired destinies," she added.
Chepkoech is now looking to join college to pursue a Diploma in Forestry. She has attached her fee structure and invitation letter for anyone wanting to help her.
