In the clip, the husband is seen leaving home in the early morning hours. Before driving away, he flashes his car lights three times, a signal the couple uses to say, "I love you."

The moment was captured on camera and published on 16 September 2025, and quickly spread among viewers, leaving netizens gushing over the couple’s unique way of expressing affection.

The wife explained that this is not a one-time action but a tradition her husband has maintained consistently. Each time he heads out, whether for work or other commitments, he makes sure to flash the lights as his parting gesture of love. This is one of the many heartfelt ways he reassures her of his affection.

TikTok users flooded the comments section with admiration, calling the husband’s actions romantic and the definition of true love and the video has gone on to inspire many couples to create their own unique traditions to strengthen their bond.

The clip has since gone viral, resonating with audiences who see it as a reminder that love is often best expressed through the simplest of actions. For TikTok user @devashcattigan, three flashes of light carry a message stronger than words.

How to keep love gestures genuine

In a conversation with certified relationship expert Paula Quinsee, she told Briefly News that relationships require daily, intentional effort from both sides to remain healthy, nurturing, and reciprocal.

She went on to add the following:

"Couples can ensure their love remains authentic by focusing on being intentional with each other rather than performing for everyone else. Private affirmations of love, like handwritten notes or weekly rituals ,can help to balance out from public gestures."
"When expressions of affection are guided by a desire to connect rather than to impress an audience, they become more meaningful. Understanding our motivations or agenda behind actions and regularly reflecting on why we are doing something and whether it is for “us” or for “others to see” helps to keep love grounded in sincerity."
