A moving video of a grandfather’s loving gesture towards his wife captivated social media users.

The clip, shared by TikTok user @kgaogelo872, was met with a wave of emotional responses and admiration from the online audience.

The video starts at a family home, where a grandfather is seen standing with a bowl of food, giving a spoon to his wife, gogo, who is sitting on the couch. The gogo, who is not having an appetite, takes one spoon and lies back on the couch. The mkhulu, however, does not give up.

After what looks like him convincing gogo to take the last spoon, she sits up straight, takes the full spoon, and quickly lies on the couch again to

show that she is done. Satisfied after she took another spoon, mkhulu walks out of the lounge to the kitchen area. The video, filmed from a distance on a staircase without the duo's knowledge, is a testament to the love and care they have for each other.

The viral clip gained 600K views, 132K likes, and 1.4K comments from social media users who were deeply moved by the gesture. Many said they wished for a love like mkhulu’s and gogo’s, noting how many times they probably have had to forgive each other.

Some said the video was proof of how important it was to marry a kind man, as it is a man’s character that matters in the end. Others shared similar stories of how well their grandfathers treated their gogo, saying whatever prayers the gogos prayed, they were reciting them.
