A KwaZulu-Natal father's homecoming at King Shaka International Airport became one of the most-watched moments on South African TikTok this July. Simphiwe Nkuna, a professional cocktail bartender and content creator known on TikTok as @simphiwenkuna_, posted the clip on July 2026, and it has since collected 1.2 million likes.

The video begins with his partner and young daughter sitting in the arrivals area, waiting. The moment the little girl spots her father walking through, she lets out an excited squeal and bolts across the terminal, leaving her mother behind on the chairs without a second thought.

What made the video especially moving was the reaction from complete strangers. Other passengers who had just come off the same flight walked behind him and, one by one, broke into smiles at the scene playing out ahead of them.

Nkuna captioned the clip:

"POV: You haven't seen the love of your life in months 🥹."

Mzansi could not get enough

South Africans flooded the comments on the TikTok page with more than 13,100 responses, many saying they watched the video multiple times.
