A reception turned into a full dance floor moment when entertainer Cedric Tsongaboy took charge of the mic on 11 September 2026. The former Mafikizolo lead dancer and choreographer has built a strong reputation as a sought-after MC, and this clip showed exactly why.

The video, filmed inside a beautifully decorated tent venue complete with draped ceilings, string lights and a floral "MB" monogram backdrop, captures Cedric pulling four guests onto the dance floor for an impromptu lesson. His message to the crowd was simple:

'Dimakatso' steals the show

Among the four guests he called forward was a woman whom he nicknamed Dimakatso, wasted no time making her presence felt. From the moment Cedric began demonstrating the hip-rolling moves he grew up with, she was all smiles and ready energy. When the music started, she delivered, and the MC was clearly delighted, pulling her forward to give her a moment of her own on the floor. Her partner 'Thabo' and the other couple joined in, turning the lesson into a full celebration.

Who is the Tsongaboy

Cedric, born Cedric T Nkolele Madume and originally from Malamulele, Limpopo, spent 12 years as the male lead dancer for Afro-pop group Mafikizolo before stepping away in early 2023. He previously went viral in 2020 alongside fellow dancer Joyce Hopane after a clip of the two dancing at an Engen garage spread widely online. Since then, he has carved out a new lane as a top events MC, regularly hosting high-profile lifestyle events across the country.
