EFF Rally: Julius Malema calls for African Unity on Heritage Day in Kwazulu Natal
- Julius Malema celebrated Heritage Day in Kwa-Zulu Natal and gave a heartfelt speech to the community
- Malema made a call for African unity and a currency with its strength determined by African Minerals
- He also called on the men of the country to stand up and end the war against women and children
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader, Julius Malema, addressed the community of Umhlabuyalingana in Kwa-Zulu Natal for his party's rally on Heritage Day.
In his speech, Julius Malema urged the community to stay united and not to let colonizers from the West sow division among Africans.
Malema said that Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away, was wearing a diamond crown worth $440 million and that those stolen diamonds alone can transform South Africa if they were returned.
"We can have a currency with its strength based on our minerals. In London, there is too much gold, yet in London, there is no mine of gold."
The SABC News reported that Malema also encouraged men to join in the fight against gender-based violence(GBV). He said that South Africa is becoming the world's crime capital and pushed KZN to be the first province to denounce violence against women and children.
