SAJBD slams EFF and ANC involvement

National chairperson of the Jewish Board of Deputies, Karen Milner, labelled the death toll on both sides an absolute tragedy, reported EWN. She said:

"The marches and posturing by both the ANC and the EFF will not help the desperate plight of innocent Palestinians, nor bring peace to the region until they can recognise the humanity on both sides."

Mzansi has not forgotten VBS

Commenting on EFF MP Floyd Shivhambu's X posts on the picket, Netizens brought up the VBS saga, calling for Shivhambu to account for that while commending the EFF for their solidarity with Palestine.

"We are in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians by the apartheid state of Israel, it's definitely where South Africa came from. We were lucky in South Africa because there was no civil war, we only experienced brutal violence."

SA Calls for Israeli Embassy closure

Briefly News previously reported that when ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula announced that the ANC would march to the Israeli Embassy in support of Palestine, the party's plans were met with desperate calls for the embassy to shut down.

Mbalula criticised the US' support of Israel after President Joe Biden visited Israel following the Al-Ahli hospital bombing. Mbalula also called for an investigation into Israel's acts of terror, with penalties imposed just as they were when the Russian president unleashed war on Ukraine.
