Recent Formula 1 Grand Prix events through 2024 have generated significant buzz, with many discussions continuing after the races. This excitement largely stems from the sport's newfound unpredictability.

This shift in dynamics follows McLaren Racing's major upgrade at the Miami Grand Prix, which has resulted in nine consecutive podium finishes, including two victories.

The Woking team appears to be the leading constructors on the 2024 grid, currently out-developing Red Bull Racing, which undoubtedly has held a stronghold on the ground effect era, particularly since the rule change in 2022.

However, as the Belgian Grand Prix approaches and the grid tightens, Red Bull's team principal, Christian Horner, has acknowledged areas where he believes McLaren' sMcL388 car has the edge over his team.

In an interview, Motorsportweek reported that the 51-year-old Horner acknowledged McLaren's significant advantage over his team, noting that the MCL38 car operates within a "broader window" compared to Red Bull's

“I believe their car is currently in a better window than ours; it seems to have a broader operational range,” Horner said. “Our window appears quite narrow, making it challenging for both engineers and drivers.”

Horner emphasised the need to expand Red Bull's operational window, which is highly sensitive to temperature and other factors.

“We need to enhance the car’s balance and broaden that window, and the team is acutely aware of this and working diligently to address it.”
