In an interview, Motorsportweek reported that the 51-year-old Horner acknowledged McLaren's significant advantage over his team, noting that the MCL38 car operates within a "broader window" compared to Red Bull's

“I believe their car is currently in a better window than ours; it seems to have a broader operational range,” Horner said. “Our window appears quite narrow, making it challenging for both engineers and drivers.”

Horner emphasised the need to expand Red Bull's operational window, which is highly sensitive to temperature and other factors.

“We need to enhance the car’s balance and broaden that window, and the team is acutely aware of this and working diligently to address it.”
