According to Times Live he confirmed that he was leaving the club. The 55-year-old former Orlando Pirates defender is popular with the fans of the club.

Malesela joined the club in December after the club was reversed its decision to appoint Belgium coach Luc Eymael due to the controversy surrounding him.

According to Kick Off, Chipp United might be courting the Belgium coach again following the dismissal of Malesela.

Eymael is currently in South Africa following an offer from Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila football club. However, TTM have now signed Dylan Kerr as their new head coach.

Social media users reacted to the news and shared their thoughts online:

@Workersday:

"Rob, I saw it from their game before Maritzburg that Dan Malesela was on his way out. Despite Chippa being trigger happy, the man is also let down by his excitement after scoring. I feel that takes away his concentration as was the case against Maritzburgutd."

@Pusetso____:

"It's time for Dan Malesela to take a firm decision about his career, Chippa United must be a thing of the past to him even if they call him next time, He is a good coach who can get any team. His philosophy is ball possession and attacking style."

@YOLO_4_real:

"The relationship between Chippa Mpengesi and Dan Malesela is an abusive one. Chippa "abusive husband and Dan an abused wife". Its high time we categorize it as domestic abuse."

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that after leading the team to continental glory in just under three months since taking over at Al Ahly, the Egyptian club's fans are showing their affection for coach Pitso Mosimane.

The Red Devils' fans surrounded the club's bus as they arrived in Sudan for their penultimate group stage match against Al-Merreikh on Saturday.

Mosimane posted a picture on his Twitter page, saying:

“Scenes at the airport tonight in Khartoum! The big team goes with big responsibilities.”

Despite the calls for 'Jingles' to return to the Bafana Bafana coaching job after Molefi Ntseki was sacked on Wednesday, it doesn't seem the ex-Mamelodi Sundowns boss would come easy if he did consider it.
