Itumeleng Khune: "Kaizer Chiefs Are Going to Fight Against Sundowns"

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has warned the side's next opponents, Mamelodi Sundowns, that they are coming for a war on Sunday afternoon.
The Amakhosi veteran says they are a big team and cannot afford to drop points in the DStv Premiership, especially as they are licking their wounds heading to Tshwane.
Chiefs lost 2-1 to Cape Town City during the week at FNB Stadium and their mission is to avenge the 3-0 loss they suffered against the Brazilians in the first round.
Meanwhile, Masandawana coach Manqoba Mngqithi led his charges to a goalless draw against AmaZulu on Wednesday afternoon.
Khune said before the clash of the titans:
“We are a big club and it has to show and we need to collect the points to get into the top eight.
"We are going to Pretoria to fight. We are going for the battle. We are going for war! We are not going there to make it easy for our opponents and take the game to them and not allow them space and for them not to take advantage of the fact that we lost our last game."
With the Tshwane giants yet to suffer a defeat in the league this term and sitting at the top of the table, Khune and his teammates will face an uphill battle at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

He added:
"It hasn't been an easy season for us from start. But we are fighting together, we fight for the badge.
"We just have to minimise the mistakes because every time we concede goals, if you look at it the way we concede goals through lapses of concentration, so if we can just concentrate more and minimise the mistakes, we can avoid conceding those silly goals.
"Sundowns have been doing very well but at this stage we are just focusing on ourselves and our game plan. We focusing on how we can take advantage of the opportunities that we create. It is very important that every game we going to now we are going to dig deep for the results and fight until the end.”
On the part of Chiefs, they sit 11th on the log table with just as many points away from bottom-placed Black Leopards. Briefly News reported that coach Gavin Hunt has admitted that his charges are going through a rough patch after their loss at the hands of City.
Amakhosi could not claim the full three points at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday afternoon and the four-time Premier Soccer League winner is also concerned.
Hunt was speaking to the media after the DStv Premiership match, saying as much as he knows what he wants, it doesn’t matter what is going on in his mind.
