UEFA Euro Final: Bellingham's Shout to Southgate During England's Loss Surfaces
- The English national team fell to another defeat in the final of the UEFA Euro tournament against Spain
- Goals from Nico Williams and Mikel Oyarzabal, either side of a Cole Palmer strike, secured the title for La Roja
- A report detailing what midfielder, Jude Bellingham, said to Gareth Southgate during the fixture has recently surfaced
It was a final to forget for fans of the English national team as the Three Lions suffered another UEFA Euro defeat at the hands of Spain.
England, who had entered the tournament as the bookmakers' favourites, were seemingly outplayed by the Spanish national side in the final held in Berlin.
Amid La Roja’s dominance, frustrations set in among the Three Lions players. One visibly frustrated player was Jude Bellingham.
The Real Madrid midfielder appeared to lose his temper, yelling at manager Gareth Southgate during the final.
Did Bellingham yell at Southgate?
According to ESPN football analyst, Mark Ogden, Bellingham became visibly frustrated as England vigorously pursued an equaliser. It eventually came from Cole Palmer, who entered the game in the 70th minute.
"I made a note at 38 minutes saying, 'Already it’s started: Kane can’t move,' and the Spanish defenders knew exactly how to handle him," Ogden explained.
"Jude Bellingham was getting frustrated. I don't know if it was visible on camera, but just before Kane was taken off, Bellingham lost it with Gareth Southgate on the sideline, as if to say, 'Change something, do something!' And then Kane was substituted."
Ogden's account was corroborated by a B/R Football report, which captured the 21-year-old Bellingham venting his frustration on a cooler at the sound of the final whistle.
England remains without a win in a major final since their triumph against Germany at the 1966 FIFA World Cup. The Three Lions are currently enduring a 58-year title drought.
Jude Bellingham Tipped As England's Future Captain
Briefly News reported that Bellingham's gesture after the game earned him praise from fans as they tipped him to be the Three Lions' next captain.
The Three Lions were denied another opportunity to lift the Euros after their 2-1 loss to La Furia Roja at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
