Cost of sacking Ten Hag and hiring Amorim
Man United's latest financial report revealed it cost £10.4 million to pay the former Ajax boss and his staff members when they were sacked, per The Standard.
Furthermore, the club paid Sporting £11m compensation for Amroim and his staff, meaning the club spent £22m to change a manager and hire his replacement.
Fans will reportedly bear the cost after the club increased ticket prices. This decision has elicited angry reactions from fans, who are planning a protest in the coming days.
The club has spent hundreds of millions in the last few transfer windows and could be in trouble with the Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSRs).
Man United are 13th in the Premier League after 12 games, and Amorim is still looking for his first win.
Ten Hag Returns to Manchester
Briefly News earlier reported that Erik ten Hag had been spotted in Manchester nearly three weeks after being sacked as Manchester United's manager. The former Ajax coach was seen dining at his favorite restaurant, Piccolino in Hale Village, accompanied by his wife.
Ten Hag, who was dismissed on October 28, reportedly returned to the Netherlands immediately after his departure. In his absence, his assistant Ruud van Nistelrooy managed four games before the appointment of Ruben Amorim.
