Manchester United came from behind to beat Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League, their first away win in Europe since March 2023.

The Red Devils ended their two-match losing streak and confidently headed into the Manchester derby.

After the full-time whistle, Amad Diallo and Rasmus Hojlund had an altercation, and their coach, Ruben Amorim, had some thoughts about it.

Amad and Hojlund bust-up

Andre Onana's mistake resulted in Viktoria Plzen, through Matej Vydra, taking the lead early in the second half.

Hojlund pulled one back in the 62nd minute before securing maximum points with a well-taken goal in the 88th minute. It was Amorim's first away win as coach and the club's second away win this season.

After the full-time whistle, Amad and Hojlund had an altercation. The Danish striker had a great chance to score a hat-trick, but Amad chose not to pass to him.

Hojlund refused to pass to Amad in another counterattack moments later, resulting in an argument between the two.

The English giants are seventh in the Europa League with 12 points from six games.

Amorim welcomed the altercation between the two players in his post-match press conference.

Yes (I was aware of that), and for me it’s perfect, we need to feel something," he said. "In this moment, we need to feel something, if we need to fight each other it’s like a family, for me it’s a very, very good sign. We need to feel something and that is important," Amorim said per Sky Sports.
"It’s a normal thing, it’s a positive thing, a healthy thing. So I let the players and the captain to calm down the things. If I think it’s too much I will go inside the dressing room."

The Red Devils face a limping Man City this weekend, aiming for their first derby win since the FA Cup final in May. Amorim's side last beat Man City in the league in February 2023.
