The Belgian tactician refused to go into details about the issues he faced before the match, but claimed that things were not as they were supposed to be behind the scenes ahead of the tie.
"I believe we fully earned this victory," he said during the post-match press conference.
"It’s a reminder that matches are won on the field, not off it. To be honest, I’ve had a bad feeling over the past few days, and while I won’t go into details, I can say that things haven’t been normal behind the scenes.
"That’s why this win was so important for us; it meant more than just three points."
The former Cameroon national team coach also looked forward to their next game against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, and he went fully spiritual while hoping God leads his Bafana Bafana to victory.
"Now, we turn our focus to next week’s clash against Nigeria. If everything goes our way and God is with us, there’s a chance we could secure World Cup qualification on Tuesday. That remains our ultimate goal," he added.
Tensions have been running high around Bafana Bafana, particularly within the Nigerian camp, where both the Super Eagles and the NFF have been pushing for sanctions over the alleged use of suspended midfielder Teboho Mokoena in the previous encounter against Lesotho.

FIFA is still silent about the issue, and Lesotho also did not file a case against South Africa.
