The Tunisian tactician joined the Glamour Boys last summer, and led them to the Nedbank Cup final and defeated Orlando Pirates to end Amakhosi's 10-year trophy drought.

Nabi didn't start the season with the Soweto giants as he travelled to Tunisia to attend to a family emergency, and returned for the game against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Nabi has officially confirmed his departure as head coach of Kaizer Chiefs.

Speaking to winwin.com, he explained: “My exit from Kaizer Chiefs came through a mutual decision with the club’s management after what was both a rewarding and challenging spell.”

The Tunisian coach revealed that he intends to take a step back for personal reasons: “At the moment, I need to rest, dedicate more time to my family, and be present for my wife, whose health has required my constant attention recently.”

Nabi acknowledged that several clubs have already approached him, but insisted he isn’t ready to commit: “Yes, I’ve been contacted by a number of big teams in Africa and the Arab world, but I won’t be entering any negotiations right now. My priority is to take a short break and recharge.”
