Nabi, who had been with the Glamour Boys since the start of the 2024-25 season, guided them to the Nedbank Cup triumph after defeating Orlando Pirates in the final, ending Amakhosi’s ten-year title drought.

Former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is now back on the radar for the Soweto giants, with recent reports linking the ex-Al Ahly mentor to replacing Nabi at Naturena.

European coach wants Kaizer Chiefs’ job

Fresh reports suggest that French tactician Jerome Arpinon has set his sights on taking charge of Kaizer Chiefs.

Arpinon, currently without a club after parting ways with Belgian third-division outfit RE Virton toward the end of last year, is hoping to replace Nabi.

A source told Soccer Laduma that the French manager is working on the final details before formally submitting his CV to the club.

“Jerome Arpinon is keen on the Kaizer Chiefs job, and his camp is working on the final details before formally submitting his CV to the club,” the source said.
“They see Amakhosi as an ideal project for him, and he’s eager to be considered if changes are made within the technical team.”

Arpinon previously managed French Ligue 1 outfit Nîmes Olympique during the 2020/21 season. His tenure yielded only four victories in 22 games, and the club was ultimately relegated.

Briefly News earlier reported that Nabi breaks his silence about his decision to leave Kaizer Chiefs despite not being asked to leave by the club board.

The former AS FAR Rabat coach's decision to leave the Glamour Boys came after the Soweto giants lost their first match of the season against Sekhukhune United in the Betway Premiership.
