Pedro Goncalves: Portuguese Coach Linked With Kaizer Chiefs Job Amid Nabi’s Exit
Kaizer Chiefs' coaching job is reportedly upfor grabs after Nasreddine Nabi decided to leave the Premier Soccer League giants a day after losing his first game of the season.
The Tuisiain tactician didn't start the season with the Glamour Boys as he travelled back home to attend to a family emergency, and came back during Amakhosi's clash with Mamelodi Sundowns.
Kaizer Chiefs released an official statement to confirm they are in talks with Nabi over the coaching role at the club.
Portuguese coach linked with Kaizer Chiefs job
Portuguese tactician Pedro Soares Goncalves has emerged as a strong contender for the vacant Kaizer Chiefs head coach position, according to reports from Cabine Desportiva in Portugal.
The 49-year-old manager recently parted ways with the Angolan national team, ending an eight-year spell that saw him enjoy considerable success with the Palancas Negras.
Following his departure from the Angolan national team, Goncalves has reportedly attracted interest from Egyptian heavyweights Al Ahly, who recently parted ways with ex-Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro, as well as Kaizer Chiefs, who are edging closer to a split with Nabi.
