Speaking to SuperSport TV after Wednesday's match at FNB Stadium, Phili reflected on what the opportunity means to him and promised to sustain his early form.
"I am just happy that the Chairman gave me the chance to represent this team, and all I can say is that I will keep fighting and doing my best for the team," Phili said.

The 21-year-old winger, signed from Stellenbosch FC after a lengthy transfer pursuit, collected the Man of the Match award on his first official start as Chiefs defeated Sekhukhune United 2-0. The multi-million rand acquisition has wasted little time in justifying the investment.

"I'm honestly out of words, but I'm very happy I was able to help the team. We really, really needed this win, and we worked for it. It's a team effort, so I'm very happy that I was also part of the team," he said.
He also acknowledged the personal significance of the moment, describing the journey that brought him to one of Africa's most prominent clubs. "It's been a long journey with a lot of ups and downs, but to be here, one of the biggest teams on the continent, it's an honour and a privilege," he added.
