Orlando Pirates are facing another important transfer decision after an unnamed European club reportedly tabled an offer for Oswin Appollis.
The development, reported by The Citizen on 7 September 2026, comes after Pirates have already completed major overseas moves involving Relebohile Mofokeng and Patrick Maswanganyi.
Oswin Appollis attracts European offer
A source told the publication that there is “serious interest” in Appollis, with an offer already placed for the Bafana Bafana winger.

“Don’t be surprised to see Oswin leave Pirates before the transfer window closes,” the source said, adding: “I think it’s from France.”
That detail remains unconfirmed.
Appollis joined Pirates from Polokwane City in 2025. He enjoyed an outstanding debut campaign, helping the club win major silverware before featuring for Bafana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Orlando Pirates have already cashed in
Pirates confirmed Mofokeng’s move to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in July. The reported fee was €3.5 million, approximately R71 million at a recent exchange rate.
Maswanganyi subsequently completed a move to Bahrain’s Alkhaldiya Sports Club on 24 August. However, Pirates did not disclose the transfer fee.
Appollis could therefore become the latest high-profile departure from Mayfair.
Appollis value adds to the intrigue
A June report put a potential Porto offer for Appollis at €4 million, approximately R81 million, although that proposal was not confirmed by Pirates. His current estimated transfer value is €1.2 million, according to FootballTransfers.
With another European approach now reported, Pirates must decide whether Appollis remains central to their plans or whether the latest offer is too significant to ignore.
