Kaizer Chiefs have been dealt a significant blow ahead of their upcoming Betway Premiership fixture against Golden Arrows, with two first-team players confirmed unavailable through injury.
The club announced that goalkeeper Brandon Petersen and attacker Wandile Duba will both miss the encounter, which marks Amakhosi's final league outing before the international break.
**Petersen Out 4 to 6 Weeks With Knee Injury**
Petersen, who has started every league match since the season began in August, suffered medial collateral ligament damage to his left knee during a training session on Tuesday morning. The club confirmed he will be sidelined for between four and six weeks while undergoing rehabilitation.
"Goalkeeper Brandon Petersen sustained a knee injury during training on Tuesday morning and will be sidelined for an estimated four to six weeks," the club stated. "The experienced shot-stopper, who has featured in every match since the season kicked off in August, injured the medial collateral ligament in his left knee and will now undergo rehabilitation."

**Duba Also Ruled Out After Hip and Groin Problem**
Duba's absence is expected to last approximately two weeks. The forward, who has contributed three goals in the current campaign, sustained a hip and groin injury. The club's medical team identified a minor defect in the affected area and will monitor his condition closely over the coming week before deciding on further action.
"Both players have played key roles in Kaizer Chiefs' strong start to the campaign, and their absence will be felt," the club added.
The timing is particularly notable given the history between the two sides. Golden Arrows previously knocked Chiefs out of the MTN8, defeating them 1-0 in the quarter-finals, making this fixture a meaningful rematch for Amakhosi.
Despite the setbacks, Chiefs head into the game in strong league form. They remain unbeaten after six matches, recording three wins and three draws for a total of 12 points. Golden Arrows, by contrast, sit seventh on the table with seven points.
