A self-taught artist and painter, Ricollin Moodley, has captured the imagination of South Africans with a series of incredible portraits of the Springboks, all created using lipstick.
The stunning artworks have taken social media by storm following South Africa’s historic 43-10 victory over the All Blacks on Saturday, 13 September 2025.

The young artist shared his creations on Instagram under the handle @ricollinart_official, showcasing his uniquely heartwarming technique.
Each painting is not just a portrait but a vibrant tribute to the players and coaching staff, combining artistic creativity with a love of rugby.

This is not the first time Ricolin has mesmerised fans with his art. Earlier this year, he created portraits of the late Cornel Hendricks and former UFC champion Dricus Du Plessis, earning praise for his ability to bring sports legends to life in a truly distinctive style.

In his latest post, shared on Instagram on Saturday, Ricolin captioned the collection:
"What a performance! Well done to all the boys. These are my paintings so far of these legends, made completely with LIPSTICK."
Some of the standout figures featured in the collection include Saturday’s man of the match Damian Willemse, highest Test earner Eben Etzebeth, Cheslin Kolbe, who also had a brilliant game, Faf de Klerk, Trevor Nyakane, and even head coach Rassie Erasmus.

Briefly News previously reported that Springboks head coach Rassie Erasmus has paid tribute to the late fullback Bevin Fortuin, who passed away on Thursday, 11 September 2025.
Fortuin earned two caps for the Springboks, debuting against Ireland in 2006 and featuring against Australia during the 2007 Tri-Nations series.
