About SSG Holdings

Founded in 2014, SSG Holdings provides cleaning, security, hygiene, and integrated management solutions. The company operates 14 locations across South Africa and employs around 9,000 people.

Fidelity Group CEO Wahl Bartmann, a former Springbok who played in the 1980s, said the company was “exceptionally proud” to announce the acquisition of SSG.

He added that the deal strengthens Fidelity’s leadership in commercial integrated security, cleaning, and facilities management. Welcoming SSG’s experienced leadership and committed team, Bartmann said, SSG aligns with Fidelity’s focus on operational excellence and innovation.

SSG remains a separate brand

Under the terms of the sale, SSG will become a subsidiary of Fidelity but will maintain its brand and operate under its current leadership.

John Smit said SSG is “extremely excited about the opportunities this partnership presents to our customers, stakeholders, and employees”.
