Snoop Dogg is mourning the loss of his beloved mom Beverly Tate. The rapper's mother died at the age of 70 after a battle with illness. In memory of the lovely lady, Snoop used his set on stage to pay homage to the life lost and fans helped him make it extra special.
On Sunday CBS News reported that the Drop It Like It's Hot rapper sadly lost his mother to an undisclosed illness. Snoop Dogg broke the heartbreaking news to his followers on Instagram as he shared a few photos of some of the special moments he shared with Beverly.
With each photo shared, Snopp wrote a loving message to his mom to thank for giving him life, being his support through good and bad times and most of all just to say he loves her dearly.

Snoop had a show booked for the same night he found out about his mother's passing. NME reports that in true performing spirit, Snopp made sure that the show went on. He let the crowd know just how much he had on his heart despite being on stage. He said:
"I wasn’t even gonna come out here and perform tonight ’cause my mother passed away earlier tonight, but in the spirit of the people of Boston, I wanted to come out here and represent for y’all because this is what my mama would have wanted me to do."
As a token of appreciation for the dedicated artist, a packed Madison Square Garden joined him in singing Ben E. King's Stand By Me in memory of Beverly.
Snoop Dogg remembers DMX and speaks fondly of their memories
Briefly News reported American rapper Snoop Dogg is saddened by the passing of his friend DMX and spoke about the first time they met. Snoop appeared virtually on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and looked back on their memories together.
Before DMX's passing, he did a Verzuz rap battle with Snoop Dogg where they performed their hit songs. Snoop feels grateful to have had the experience with his friend and said it showed that people in hip-hop can still show love to each other.
"We had God in the building with us that night and that makes me feel good about DMX's transition, to know that he's off to a better place and he's finally got his angel wings," said Snoop Dogg.
The Drop It Like It's Hot hitmaker then spoke about how he met DMX in the 90s and how it inspired the song Get At Me Dog. The rappers went to the studio together the night they met for the first time.
"That night inspired him to create that song, which was one of his biggest hood records that he put out," said Snoop.
Snoop Dogg also spoke about how he admired DMX for always looking out for those around him. May his soul rest in peace.
