When Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, Wizkid announced that a remix of his hit single, Essence, off the Made in Lagos album with Justin Bieber would drop, it took all by surprise.

Little did everyone know that the remix would move on to break records on the international scene with different celebrities vibing to it.

The massive crowd at Jay Z's MadeInAmerica concert in Philadelphia, United States had the privilege of watching Wizkid and Justin Bieber perform the Essence remix together for the first time.

Fans went wild with excitement as Bieber sang his part passionately before Wizkid came on the stage. The superstars also shared a hug at the end of the electrifying performance.

Wizkid makes history as Essence becomes most Shazammed song in the US

Briefly News previously reported that Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, aka Wizkid, scored another massive accomplishment outside the shores of Nigeria, Africa.

Popular music recognition platform, Shazam, took to social media announcing that the singer’s Essence song off the Made in Lagos (MIL) album made history as the most shazammed song in the US.

The news got many Nigerians and fans of the music star excited.
