Career
He started submitting demos when he was 17 years old. Sadly enough, he suffered seven years of rejection as none of the major labels in South Africa wanted to sign him.
One of the small independent labels decided to give him a shot based on his demo Hurt So Bad, which later became his first single and made him an overnight success.
Later on, Ladysmith Black Mambazo's British manager, who was in South Africa, saw Danny's video and decided to pitch Danny. The label then signed him.
Danny K South Africa singer then moved to London and spent two years recording his album.
In an unexpected turn of events, the label dropped him when he was on the verge of releasing his international album. He had to move back to South Africa and, with his brother Jarren, started his own record label.
