Uzalo fans were treated to a wedding with a difference yesterday.

The soapie showcased a typical wedding during the time of coronavirus, complete with sanitising before exchanging the rings.

Thuthuka Mthembu, who plays the bride Nonka, told TshisaLIVE the filming experience was quite surreal.

She said, “There are a lot less people than originally planned. There is a lot of social distancing, masks and even sanitising before we get the rings. This is the new normal and we have to reflect that on the show.”
