Businesswoman and socialite Shauwn Mkhize joined the Uzalo team. The flamboyant media personality will be on the seventh season of the hit TV drama.
The news was reported on Monday and Mzansi social media users have shared their thoughts about the surprise development.

Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported that Uzalo dropped a surprise announcement that has left its viewers reeling. The hit TV show roped in popular socialite and businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize to join their cast.
The TV made the announcement on their official Instagram page.
A picture was shared showing some of the faces that will be included next season and Shauwn Mkhize was one of them. The post was captioned:
"Ncaa #UzaloSeason7 Ebantwini! Abajabule Abantuu. Le Ready!??"
Viewers took to the social media page to share their excitement. Shauwn Mkhize herself commented on the post and said:
In other news, Briefly.co.za reported that Dawn Thandeka King is moving to a new set, new cast and new television show. The star has reportedly decided to leave Uzalo and been given a role in a new series titled Diepsloot. The actress is reportedly leaving, or has already left, the cast of Uzalo which she has been a part of for four seasons.
There have been rumours of Uzalo doing a new-and-improved angle on the show but reports from industry insiders have implied that King left before the latest season began filming.
