“I want my money back”: DJ Maphorisa accused of scamming

- South African music producer DJ Maphorisa has been accused of scamming a woman

- The lady alleges that Phori defaulted a contract agreement they both entered and took her money

- Speaking to the Daily Sun, the woman is now demanding that Maphorisa pay back the money she paid him

Amapiano producer DJ Maphorisa has been accused of being a scammer by a record label owner by the name of Letty Mncube.

According to the Daily Sun, Phori apparently promised Letty some PR work for two upcoming artists, but never delivered. Speaking to the publication, Letty said that Phori initially asked for R48 000 for the PR work.

This would involve recording the artists, getting gigs and promoting their work on social media. Letty went on to say that she could not afford the amount and asked to rather pay in installments. She claims that Phori took R1500.

After she had paid R3500, she became suspicious as Phori had not posted anything online.

She reportedly told the publication:

“On the day we were supposed to meet, he did not pick up my calls.”

She went on to say that the producer did not fulfill his side of the contract.

“Right now I feel robbed and I want my money back.”

Meanwhile Briefly.co.za previously reported that Focalistic took to social media recently and hinted that he is working on a project with DJ Maphorisa.

The Ke Star hitmaker shared that he was happy to be in his hood in Garankuwa with Phori. Pitori Maradona showed love to Madumane and even called him his idol. Focalistc tweeted:

"So happy to be in my hood, Ga-Rankuwa, with my idol DJ Maphorisa right now! SA monate o kase fele re sale teng (the fun will never end)."
