Ntsiki Mazwai Ordered to Pay R200k Costs After Losing Case to DJ Euphonik

  • DJ Euphonik was won his case against Ntsiki Mazwai and the High Court has ordered the poet to pay the DJ approximately R200 000 in court costs
  • Mazwai was taken to court in 2021 after she labelled DJ Euphonik a "rapist" in 2020 and the case was postponed until 2022
  • She had recently lost a similar case against DJ Fresh in which she also had to pay close to R200 000 on legal fees

DJ Euphonik, real name Themba Nkosi, took poet Ntsiki Mazwai to court last year after she called him a "rapist" on social media in 2020.

In 2021, Judge J Wright J ordered Mazwai to stop posting statements about the DJ on an interim basis until the case could be heard again in January 2022.

On 10 March, the High Court ruled that Ntsiki Mazwai had to pay the court costs associated with the lawsuit which is estimated to be in the region of R200 000 according to TimesLIVE.

DJ Fresh also won his case against Mazwai and she was also ordered to pay a cost settlement for R200 000. He revealed how much Mazwai had to pay when he appeared as a guest on Podcast and Chill.

Judge Fisher said that Mazwai was familiar with this sort of litigation and had to be restrained from making similar statements in public in reference to her case against DJ Fresh.

DJ Fresh and Euphonik in trouble with the law, assault case reopened

Earlier, Briefly News reported that DJ Fresh and Euphonik are being dragged back into court after the NPA reopened the assault case filed by 'Nampree'.

The Twitter user with the handle @Nampree accused the pair of drugging and raping 11 years ago.

The Citizen reported that the case has been reopened after the National Prosecution Authority (NPA) dismissed the case almost a year ago due to a lack of evidence.

In similar news, Ntsiki Mazwai has rained on AKA and Nadia Nakai's love parade. The two rappers have recently made their relationship public knowledge and Mazwai thinks things are moving a bit too fast considering Supa Mega used to refer to his late fiancee, Nellie Tembe as his soulmate.

Ntsiki Mazwai's recent tweets revealed that not everybody is happy for Nadia Nakai and AKA and their budding romance. The singer has made it clear that she feels the rapper should still be mourning the loss of Nellie Tembe.

ZAlebs reported that just days after Nadia and AKA made their relationship social media official, Nstiki Mazwai took to her own social media to share a little lesson on soulmates. Mazwai called the new celebrity relationship disturbing as she felt Forbes could have waited longer.
