Duane Davis, alias Keffe D, has been arrested in connection to Tupac Shakur's murder.
Who is the mastermind in Tupac's shooting?
Investigators have been aware of Davis as one of the four suspects identified early in the investigation. While he is not the alleged shooter, authorities described him as the leader of the group during a news conference and in court.
In Nevada, one can face charges, including murder, for aiding and abetting in the commission of a crime.
Police in Las Vegas said:
“Duane Davis was the shot-caller for this group of individuals that committed this crime and he orchestrated the plan that was carried out.”
Why suspect killed Tupac
According to CNN, authorities depicted Davis as the mastermind behind a scheme to seek revenge and assassinate Shakur following an assault on his nephew.
Davis has consistently positioned himself at the location of the crime, asserting that he occupied the front seat of the white Cadillac that pulled up alongside Shakur's vehicle, from which shots were fired in the back seat, ultimately claiming the life of the musician.
Shakur sustained four gunshot wounds and passed away six days later.
In interviews and his 2019 memoir titled Compton Street Legend, Davis openly acknowledged that he supplied the firearm used in the drive-by shooting.
