Former Big Brother Mzansi housemate Mshini Lekwadu has come out to set the record straight regarding the drama between her and Emtee.

On Monday, 11 August 2025, Emtee's Instagram stories were filled with DMs he received from women. Some of the messages ranged from flirty to outright dissing.

One of the ladies who DMd him was none other than Mshini Lekwadu. In the messages, Mshini, who recently bagged a partnership with DJ Zinhle's Hair Majesty, gave Emtee her address, and Emtee asked when he could visit her. However, in her statement, Mshini set the record straight, alluding to Emtee having misleading intentions with the leaks.

"I would like to address recent screenshots circulating on social media regarding my private messages with Emtee. While in the Big Brother house, I openly supported Emtee because I am genuinely a fan of his music. After the show, he reached out to me via DM to express his appreciation for my support. I responded by telling him I am a fan and that I would love to be part of one of his future music videos," she stated.

She further explained why they had arranged to meet up at her place.

"Over time, we had brief interactions via DM, and in his last message, he asked when he could visit and where I stayed. I responded with my address under the impression that our conversation was strictly business-related and in line with my support for his music."

"The screenshots shared publicly only show the part where I sent my address, without the full context. This is misleading and does not reflect the nature of our conversations. My intention was purely professional, and I take my brand, my supporters, and my reputation very seriously."

In another slide, Mshini directly told Emtee to post the full conversation between them, and not the part where she gave him her address.

"Hey Emtee, l've always been a genuine supporter of your music. I see you've posted part of our DMs without the full context, which has caused misunderstandings. You know our chats were innocent and music-related. Please clear the air and post the full conversation, not just selected screenshots."
