Fan-favourite South African couple Thato and Gash1 Mthombeni surprised South Africans on Sunday, 31 August 2025, when they announced the arrival of their bundle of joy.

The former Big Brother Mzansi reality TV stars previously made headlines when they chose love and rejected a chance at a reality TV show.

The Mthombenis, who also received praise on social media when they landed roles on Generations: The Legacy, recently bought a house.

The Metro FM radio personality and her husband shared a video on their Instagram accounts on Sunday, 31 August 2025, announcing that they have welcomed their bundle of joy.

The pair captioned the video: "Our gift from God has finally arrived. Glory to Jesus. I love you, my dime, @callherthato. This new chapter of our love story has been Immaculate."
Thato Mthombeni also shares in the comment section: "I love you more than you know. I love our family. God has been so good to us #momanddad."

In the video, Thato is seen holding a baby's bottle with milk, while her husband hugs her.
