Controversial South African podcaster MacG discussed Chris Excel's allegations that he was offered R100K to start a smear campaign. This came as no surprise to MacG, who had previously accused powerful figures of trying to plot against him.

The latest episode of Podcast And Chill saw Sol Phenduka, MacG and The Ghost Lady discussing the controversial brand influencer and the alleged smear campaign.

How MacG feels about smear campaign

In a clip shared by @ThisIsColbert, MacG read out the apparent DM which said: “Hi, Chris. If you don't mind, we won't reveal our details yet. But another lady friend of ours told us that you're the right person for this job. Please let me know when you're free to talk.”

The hosts then agreed that Chris should have played along to get those responsible for this to expose themselves.

"You should have said yes, man. So we can see who is behind this," MacG said. Sol added, "Chris, you should have said yes and double-crossed them. But if it is legit, they would have made him sign some stuff anyway," he mentioned.

A shocked MacG said it boggles his mind how people could actually take out their hard-earned money to try to tarnish his image.

"How crazy is it that people are paying other people to [smear me]. It is insane, man!" he exclaimed.
