"After the release of Pikki Pikki, Sumbody came to me and suggested that we work together and rock a track that is a bit more up-tempo than the ones we had done in the past.
"This release is me paying my last respect to my friend and pioneer. One sound is the original one, which was cooked up on that day, and the second one is an updated rendition of the latest amapiano genre," he said.

Kaylow further mentioned during the interview that the energy this song carries is unique and always reminds him of the late DJ Sumbody. He also said that the unreleased song has two versions, which he planned to release both of them at the same time.

He said:

"The song Respect speaks to what we, as men, hope for from the women we dream of marrying. It pulses with the same vibrant energy that DJ Sumbody brought to every moment. Each time I perform it, the crowd's response fills the room with his presence, making it feel as if he never left.

"While we both shaped the idea, I remember it as mostly Sumbody's vision. Releasing both versions now feels right, since this song captures his unmistakable sound. I hope his fans, friends, and family celebrate his memory through it and feel the infectious party spirit he always shared."

This new release will be another achievement for Kaylow as he is still celebrating his hit song 24 Hours, which received a triple platinum status. With this song, he will be moving up the music ladder.
